This maintenance gymnastics monitor course offers specialized training in the field. Today society maintains a sedentary lifestyle, which is not healthy and produces a low physical condition, psychological overload and health problems. Maintenance gymnastics is a physical activity program that is aimed at the conservation and improvement of physical condition, reaching an optimal physical state (physical condition improvement, toning and coordination in a general way). On the other hand, physical activity, through a controlled and programmed physical exercise through maintenance gymnastics, will contribute to older people enjoying greater vitality and quality of life. The Spanish Fitness Federation accredits only the contents referring to physical activity, any mention to technical-tactical aspects is outside its competences and accreditation.

- Assess the functional adaptations produced by physical activity for health. - Explain the basis for which training produces adaptations in the physical and motor condition. - Describe maintenance gymnastics as an activity to improve the physical condition and health of people. - Know the characteristics and theories about aging, to more easily understand this sector. - Be aware of the amount of benefits that physical activity has for healthy people. - Know the elements that condition physical activity in the elderly and the contents that can be developed - Analyze the treatment that the coach must have with customers based on the characteristics of each one.

This maintenance gymnastics monitor course enables students to perform activities such as maintenance gymnastics, directed class monitor, sports monitor. Also addressed to all those people who want to work in day centers, and residences of seniors to develop the maintenance and health plan of these profiles.

With the performance of the Maintenance Gymnastics Monitor Course, the necessary knowledge to develop maintenance gymnastics activities will be acquired, both for adults and elderly, combining different physical exercises aimed at improving the quality of life and well -being of the elderly and providing these criteria for the realization and/or rejection of a certain physical activity

The maintenance gymnastics monitor course is aimed at all those people who, either for professional reasons or personal interest, intend to acquire knowledge related to physical activity in adults and older people through maintenance gymnastics, as well as the improvement that such activity entails in these people.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
