Laparoscopy course: laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in small animals (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

Minimum invasion techniques such as laparoscopy and thoracoscopy have had an exponential boom in recent years. These are diagnostic and/or therapeutic techniques where, through natural holes or small incisions, a chamber is introduced inside the patient, through state -of -the -art instruments and techniques, these veterinary procedures are performed. This produces in lower postoperative pain and an earlier recovery for better diagnostic and therapeutic results. With the course in laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in small animals you will know the basic principles and the latest techniques in laparoscopy and thoracoscopy to apply in small animals.

- Establish the basic equipment and instruments for the realization of a laparoscopy - determine the complementary material, such as electrocirugia units, to perform a laparoscopy - Develop a training program for the acquisition of competencies in laparoscopic surgery - Evaluate the different techniques that exist to perform a laparoscopic approach - compile the different complications that may appear in the laparoscopic technique - Analyze the new perspectives in new perspectives in Laparoscopic surgery, such as unique incision laparoscopy and notes. - Develop the indications, approach techniques and complications of thoracoscopy in small animals

Minimum invasion techniques such as laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in animals are highly demanded and can be applied in sectors such as veterinary clinics, zoological parks, aquariums, animal reserves, rescue centers, animal production, food security, public health and education and research.

With the course in laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in small animals you will obtain the necessary knowledge to be able to put into practice the latest diagnostic and/or therapeutic techniques of minimal invasion, more specifically according to each patient, so that postoperative pain is reduced and the recovery of it is improved, helping to reduce the time of the hospital stays of the animals.

The course in laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in small animals is aimed at all those professionals who want to know the latest new advances and treatments in the veterinary surgery sector and want to know how to apply the techniques of minimal invasion such as laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in small animals.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
