Summary
This course in neurogenetics offers specialized training in the field. In 2001, with the end of the Human Genome Project, the largest scientific company of the twentieth century has been possibly completed. The realization of this project has initiated a new era of medicine, characterized by greater diagnostic precision, which will force us to change the current classifications of diseases and, above all, a dramatic advance in the knowledge of disease pathogenesis. The latter will open a huge amount of new therapeutic pathways that we are going to arrange in the coming years. Among all specialties of medicine, neurology will possibly be the specialty in which this will have more impact. Therefore, in these years, the specialty of genetics has been slowly introduced in our clinical and research practice, until it occupies a very important part of it.

This course in neurogenetics prepares to learn the concepts of neurogenetics and its different techniques of molecular biology in research and diagnosis, knowing neurogenetics from the point of view of the clinical neurologist, differentiating the different strategies for the molecular genetic study of a neurological disease and learning everything related to clinical neurogenetics.
