Early care implies preventing, detecting and intervening in problem situations in child development in an attempt to ensure the physical, psychological and social well -being of the boy and the girl with disabilities, disorders or at risk of suffering from them. The present postgraduate in occupational therapy in early care aims to provide teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary for the design and development of preventive actions that facilitate the proper maturation of the children and also the necessary skills to help children who have difficulties with physical coordination, organization and learning skills and care to perform tasks.

- Know the scope, the target population and the main theoretical models in early care. - Learn the basic patterns of diagnosis and intervention in children with evolutionary disorders from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective. - Learn the theoretical reference frameworks in pediatric occupational therapy. - Know the practice models applied in occupational therapy from the pediatric point of view. - Know the use of evaluation tools in pediatric occupational therapy. - Design programs in pediatric occupational therapy. - Advice to families. - Know the different devices in infantic -venue health, physical rehabilitation and education. - Describe the importance of occupation in the increase in autonomy and independence in people with some type of disability or difficulty in carrying out routine activities (AVD). - Provide comprehensive enabling care, through occupational and personal and social adjustment programs, in order to achieve the greatest possible personal development. - Improve the quality of life of people participating in the activity of occupational service. - Know the importance of the level of personal autonomy in people with disabilities. - Enable learning, training and development of skills related to the scope of occupational training. - Contribute, through training and occupation, to a greater and more effective participation in social life, to the development of their personal autonomy and to the improvement of their self -esteem.

This training in occupational therapy is aimed at university diplomas in occupational therapy, and university graduates in occupational therapy, who wish to perform complementary and/or specialization training in the area of occupational therapy.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
