Communication course between the health professional and the patient: health communication (university degree + 6 ECTS)

Communication is considered the basis of is the fundamental basis of social relations between people, allowing the exchange of information in interpersonal relationships and communications between health professionals and patients. With the realization of this course, students will acquire technical knowledge, skills and methodology for communication in health contexts, in order to improve the quality of clinical practice, necessary to act in an efficient, clear and concise way improving and reinforcing the patient's own coping strategies.

- Enter general knowledge about communication. - Know the specific characteristics of verbal and nonverbal communication. - Deepen the appropriate communication characteristics to face conflicting situations in sanitary contexts. Know communicative strategies to face emergency situations and catastrophes.

Health field

With the realization of this course, students will know in depth the key elements in the development and integration of communication techniques, appropriate to the different sanitary contexts. Therefore, this course integrates different knowledge that is necessary to carry out a communication, clear, effective and close to the patient, in the different sanitary contexts.

This training is aimed at healthcare professionals, who wish to update and expand their knowledge in terms of strategies and communication between health and patient personnel, and anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge regarding this area.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
