Equestrian veterinary assistant course: Equestrian veterinary assistant (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

Over the years, the figure of the horse has evolved with respect to the tasks they play with man. Today, the horse is not configured only as an animal of support to man in his work, if not as a highly prepared animal in equestrian competitions, such as alternative therapy in some human ailments or diseases or as a company animal. For this reason, this course acquires great importance given to the increase in demand for equestrian veterinary assistants who are specialized in the daily care of the horse and in knowledge related to first aid for cases of emergencies and emergencies.

- Know the behavior of the horses, as well as the different existing races. - Study the anatomy and morphology of these animals, as a basis for addressing the care and food they require. - Acquire nutritional knowledge depending on the characteristics and states of the animal. - Review the pathologies that suffer more frequently in order to know how to intervene before them. - Identify the different instruments that we can find when performing surgical intervention.

Develop your professional activity both on your own and integrated into companies, public or private, dedicated to the development of equestrian veterinary activities.

The equestrian veterinary assistant course provides the necessary knowledge to identify the most common pathologies suffering from horses and knowing how to act before them. It also provides information about the different horse races and their diverse behavior.

This course is aimed at people whose interest in horses has promoted them to want to learn equestrian veterinarian, and who, therefore, must know the foundations of care and attention to these animals from a health perspective.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
