Microbiology, together with information and biotechnology technologies, are sectors that many analysts consider the main engine of technological change, with deep effects on economic and social and health development. It can and should contribute to addressing the great challenges facing humanity in the coming decades: food security, energy supply, climate change, health, etc. Thus, with this course the knowledge related to the realization of microbiological tests will be provided, informing of the results obtained.

- Prepare samples for microbiological determination ensuring aseptic conditions. - Prepare and sterilize culture and laboratory material. - Sow, incubate and control microbiological growth. - Identify microorganisms through galleries/ test batteries, rapid phenotypic tests or microscopic preparations. - Perform microbial counts, calculate results and inform of microbiological tests or determinations. - Perform biological activity tests.

This analyst will exercise its activity in companies or laboratories from different sectors, where it is necessary to perform microbiological and biotechnological tests in areas such as environment, food, materials, R&D, etc.

This formation conforms to the training itinerary The UF0225 Count, Insulation, identification and determination of biological activity of the microorganisms, certifying having overcome the different units of competition included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the corresponding Certificate of Professional. respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
