Alzheimer's course and quality of life (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

The World Health Organization estimates that dementia is one of the main causes of disability and dependence between older people worldwide. They define dementia as a general term to designate several diseases that are generally of a chronic and progressive nature that affect cognitive impairment and interfere with the ability for the correct development of basic and instrumental activities of daily life. With the course in Alzheimer's and quality of life you can acquire all the knowledge about what dementia is, and more specifically, Alzheimer's dementia, and how it affects the quality of life of the person, as well as their relatives and caregiver.

- Know what a dementia and the different types that exist are. - Know the symptomatology of Alzheimer's dementia. - Identify the care required by people affected by a dementia. - Analyze the role of the caregiver and identify the possible risks it can suffer. - Learn the different associative resources regarding dementias that have been developed.

With the course in Alzheimer's and quality of life you can integrate into multidisciplinary teams of the field of social intervention who work with people who suffer from dementia and intend to improve their quality of life and that of their relatives slowing down the signs and progress of the disease through the design and implementation of actions according to the needs of the collective.

With the course in Alzheimer and quality of life you can expand your skills, skills and professional skills knowing what dementia and typology that exists, in addition to knowing in detail the Alzheimer's dementia. You can know in depth the development of the disease in order to design intervention strategies that intend to slow down their progress in order to improve the quality of life of affected people and their relatives.

The course in Alzheimer's and quality of life is addressed to students and professionals in the social field who wish to expand their competences in order to perform an effective intervention and according to the needs presented by the people affected by an Alzheimer's dementia and how the development of the disease also affects family relationships.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
