Summary

The course in the management of the terminal patient at home offers complete and specialized training to provide palliative care and high quality comprehensive care for terminal patients in their home, guaranteeing a biopsychosocial approach and ethical principles for humanized care. With an interdisciplinary approach, participants will learn to face the various pathologies that require palliative care, as well as to provide psychological support from both the terminal patient and their relatives, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care until the end of life. You will have the necessary tools and knowledge to address home care of patients in terminal situation with compassion, ethics and quality.

Goals

- Acquire knowledge in palliative care and therapy to provide compassionate and quality care to the terminal patient. - Understand the psychological needs of the terminal patient and their relatives, offering adequate emotional support. - Identify and value the different pathologies that require palliative care, in a personalized way. - Know home care services and professionals to organize effective palliative care at home. - Develop skills to attend in signing situations, providing comprehensive and respectful attention.

This course is aimed exclusively at health personnel according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
