One of the great challenges of societies today consists in enabling intervention strategies that contribute to active aging in order to prevent dependence situations that can be caused by physical or biological factors but which, in general, have to do with psycho-affective issues of these individuals. With this course the student will learn the necessary knowledge to carry out both animation activities and recreational physical activity exercises with the senior sector with the aim of guaranteeing their well -being and improving their quality of life. In addition to offering training in the management of programs of cultural, leisure and free time activities and in the revitalization of groups and conflict resolution. Social and educational institutions should not forget their socializing function and their goal of achieving the integral development of the person. That is why sociocultural animation is emerging as a methodology to favor personal motivation and enrichment. - Know the essential characteristics and theories about aging, to more easily understand this sector. - Develop a program of socio -educational animation activities for older people who guarantee their well -being and improve their quality of life. - Facilitate to the student the tools to achieve an effective and effective development of the elderly animation programs. - Know the elements that condition physical activity in the elderly. - Prevent the diseases of the elderly through physical activity. - Develop a program of playful-recreational physical activities that improve the health and well-being of the elderly. - Participate in the design of socio-cultural activities, the campaigns to promote activities, the coordination of work and supervision of the activities carried out. - Acquire all knowledge, procedures and attitudes to work as a sociocultural monitor-aimer.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
