In the field of security and the environment, it is necessary to know the different fields of the surveillance and extinction operations of forest fires and contingency support in the natural and rural environment, within the professional area of safety and prevention. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to carry out tasks of prevention, detection and extinction of forest fires, as well as inform the population about them and support contingencies in the natural and rural environment. This course offers students the right training to develop their professional career as rural agents and environmental agents, specialized in the protection and care of the natural park and fire prevention. In addition, it allows to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism through the call for accreditation of professional competences published both by the Employment Service of Spain and for each Autonomous Community. Through this course, students are offered the right training to learn to carry out the functions of the position according to the regulations in force in Spain. In a more concrete way, after completing their training and overcoming the accreditation call, the students will be trained to: - Execute work of surveillance and detection of forest fires, maintenance of prevention and extinction infrastructure, and inform the population. - Execute forest fire extinction operations. - Perform contingency support in the natural and rural environment. - Attend as the first intervener in case of an accident or emergency situation.

The present training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the Certificate of Professionalism SEAD0411 Operations of surveillance and extinction of forest fires and support for contingencies in the natural and rural environment. Certifying having overcome the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023 It develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
