History course: Genesis of the modern state

Between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, taking advantage of the crisis of feudalism, the kings resumed their power, with deep social, institutional, economic and cultural transformations. There was an important development of trade and cities growth, which would lead to the capitalist economy, with the consequent expansion and prosperity of a new social and commercial social group: the bourgeoisie. Thus, the course, Genesis of the Modern State, aims to offer an overview of the main events that occurred during that period, with the objective of strengthening knowledge in relation to the history of humanity.

- Define the main characteristics that distinguish the absolutist government established in the different European monarchies during the Modern Age. - Study the dynamic unification of the Catholic Monarchs, the foreign policy and the succession problem of the period. - Identify the discovery of America as a very important fact that conditioned the political, economic and social evolution of the following centuries in the continent. - Determine the situation of European states at the beginning of modernity. - Understand the progressive formation of the world's economy and market complementarity during the Modern Age. - To address the study of the inquisitorial phenomenon, trying to obtain sufficient judgment elements to be able to assess what the Spanish Inquisition meant, devoid of previous value judgments. - Recognize the contrasts in the cultural policy of Carlos V and Felipe II. - Analyze the complex political-religious situation of the 16th century within the opposition and coexistence between Protestant reform and the Catholic reform, or counter-reform. - Make a thematic approach to the configuration of modern society and social inequality as a central aspect of the social structure. - Know the main cultural events between the Renaissance and the Baroque. - Being able to define the different aspects that characterize the Spanish culture of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

This course in Genesis of the Modern State, provides students with the knowledge, skills, competences and skills required in the performance of a correct and successful task of the work environment of history. As well as, it allows to know the most relevant contents in relation to modern society, its reforms and its discoveries.

This course called, Genesis of the Modern State, is aimed at the professionals of the world of history, specifically those people who show special interest in the modern state that emerged between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries following the crisis of feudalism, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to the evolution and birth of history.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
