Summary
The situation of inmates is especially delicate and vulnerable, the course in nursing in penitentiary institutions provides you with knowledge about the organization and functioning of these institutions, the rights of prisoners in health, common pathologies in the penitentiary environment and health care in prisons. You will learn to work as part of the health team in a challenging and specific environment, providing attention to a diverse and vulnerable population. With this course, you will be prepared to offer comprehensive medical care in the penitentiary context and contribute to the well -being of inmates. You will learn from the hand of professionals specialized in health.

This course in nursing in penitentiary institutions prepares you to face the challenges of nursing in prison institutions, providing you with solid knowledge about the organization and functioning of these institutions, the rights of prisoners in health and common pathologies in this environment. Who is it addressed to?
This course is aimed exclusively at diplomas or graduates in nursing according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.
Official Character
This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
