Sustainable Food Course

Thanks to this sustainable food course you will obtain specialized training in the area of food and sustainability that generate a positive impact on the environment and society. Throughout this formation, you will learn to make informed food decisions that promote the conservation of natural resources, reduce food waste and promote equity in access to adequate nutrition and food. A global vision of the environmental impact of food production, food policies to prevent food waste and/or that address the food sovereignty of the population will be provided. In addition, concepts on sustainable food education will be provided to train the population in responsible consumption.

- Study the basic principles of environmental problems and the impact of food production. - Identify what food sovereignty and the concept of sustainable food are. - Know food policies and their applicability in food systems. - Analyze in an integral way all the elements involved in food systems. - Apply sustainability to the planning of food recommendations.

The professional outputs of this sustainable food course are intended to enhance the training of students in the area of ​​sustainability, sustainable and healthy food environments to work the awareness of the population through recommendations and/or food planning designed to promote the safety and protection of the environment.

This sustainable food course is intended to provide students with quality training, designed for the development of theoretical-practical practice regarding the concepts of food sustainability, such as the right to food, creation of sustainable food systems and awareness of responsible consumption. You can design strategies for promoting eating and sustainable habits in the population.

This sustainable food course is aimed at graduated and/or titled people in the area of ​​sustainability and food, as well as people who work in promoting healthy and sustainable habits in the population to address concepts such as food waste, food sovereignty and/or anyone who is interested.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
