Color reproduction course: UF2804 Standardization in color reproduction processes

In the field of graphic arts, it is necessary to know the different fields of production management in predimpression processes, within the professional area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to manage color reproduction in graphic processes.

- Determine the technical procedures of calibration and maintenance in the equipment, devices and machines involved in the reproduction, of the color from the entrance to its impression by setting the necessary control parameters. - Apply procedures for characterization and generation of profiles for devices, machines and graphic production equipment depending on the characteristics of the workflows, determining in each case the necessary strategies, adjustments and means. - Assess the degree of suitability of the color profiles to be used in a reproduction workflow, analyzing the color ranges of the devices involved and the proposed observation conditions. - Assess the possibilities for improving color reproduction in different workflows using objective and subjective comparison criteria, according to the new color evaluation trends.

It develops its professional activity in the graphic industry, in private or public predimpression companies. In small, medium or large companies, with very diverse organizational/technological levels. It is integrated into a work team where it develops individual and team tasks. He performs his work as an independent technician or as an intermediate command that organizes and directs the work of a technical team in his charge, assuming collaboration functions in the management of environmental security and prevention, being able to perform, among them those of basic level of occupational risk prevention. It depends hierarchically on the Director of Production and/or the Company Manager.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the Formative Unit UF2804 Standardization in color reproduction processes, belonging to the MF1674_3 Training Module Color management in graphic processes, certifying having exceeded the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and of the non -formal training experience, via the Obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of graphic arts, specifically in production management in predimpression processes, within the professional predimpression area, and to all those interested in acquiring necessary knowledge to manage color reproduction in graphic processes.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
