Diseases related to poor diet, such as malnutrition or overweight and obesity, are one of the problems that most affect both developed and developing countries, which entails a very large economic and humanitarian cost, so it is necessary to focus it from the point of view of prevention. Thanks to this course of assistant in food and nutrition, you can study in depth the basis of healthy eating, the energy needs and physiological aspects of all stages of life. In addition, you will learn the best methods to conserve food and the main tools to determine whether a food is healthy or not, depending on its composition.

The work outputs of this assistant and nutrition assistant course are aimed at health personnel who wish to train in nutrition, from the physiological bases to the creation of diets and cover different professional fields such as clinical nutrition, research or dissemination in health.

This assistant and nutrition assistant course prepares you to participate in clinical and community nutrition programs at the prevention level, with healthy life promotion programs and to plan diets based on the different recommendations and food composition tables. In addition, you can identify the main dietary and nutritional aspects in different population groups.

This course is especially aimed at TCAE, although it is a degree within the teachings of the university that does not enable for professional practice, so according to article 37.7 of Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28, which establishes the organization of university teachings and the procedure to assure their quality for the degrees encompassed within the own teachings that do not require an university degrees that do not require prior university degrees To them, the purpose of them is the expansion and update of knowledge, competences and training or professional skills that contribute to a better labor insertion of citizens and citizens without university degree, so it will be open to every person without a healthcare health university degree that has an interest in carrying it out.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
