Design course for industrial ships and high -altitude buildings

The objective of this course is the knowledge and determination the loads and efforts that a structure (wind, ...) will support for its dimensioning thus avoiding, specifically the industrial ships and the buildings of great height. Through this course, the basis for the dimensioning of the necessary elements for the design of an industrial ship (porches, grows, belts, motherboard, ...) are established. The necessary notions for the dimensioning of high -rise buildings are also raised. This course proceeds to calculate the loads to which the structure will be subjected, we will learn to combine those loads to obtain flexion, shear and buckling efforts. Once the efforts have been known, the different elements of the structure can be sized as beams, pillars, plaques and porches knowing their efforts and deformations.

After completing the design course of industrial ships and high -rise buildings, labor opportunities extend to architecture, engineering, construction and consulting studies. Graduates will be trained to face challenges in the planning and structural calculation of industrial projects and skyscrapers, applying knowledge acquired in the didactic units on advanced design and calculation.
