MF1056-3 Event Management Course (Online)

The meetings market covers the tourism market segment that deals with the organization of public or private events attended by certain groups of people with a common motivation, whether political, commercial, business, scientific, sports, academic or social. The different purpose of the event, its magnitude, the generating or prescriber entity will mark the character of the act, and the peculiarities that its organization contains. This course will provide the student with the necessary knowledge to manage all kinds of events.

- Analyze meetings tourism and identify your specific demands within the tourism sector. - Plan and budget an event and define its program, identifying the activities and tasks that are derived for the managing entity. - Apply techniques for the process of organizing a given event, analyzing the logic of said process. - Describe the final evaluation process of an event, describing inherent management and control activities. - Define and position events of events that contemplate different market segments and their specific needs, taking into account competitive advantages and identifying the most appropriate marketing roads. - Apply the protocol standards used in different types of events.

It develops its activity preferably in productive units of travel agencies, tour-operators, congress organizing entities, event departments in hotel establishments and tourism promotion offices, both in the public and private sector.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1056_3 Event Management Certifying having overcome the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are published by the different communities. Autonomous, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed for all those who want to devote themselves professionally to meetings tourism, specifically to the planning, organization and control of events, as well as their marketing and protocol management. It is also directed for all those who want to expand their knowledge in this area.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
