Summary

In the field of hospitality and restoration, it is necessary to know the different fields in the sommelier, within the professional restoration area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the specialized wine service.

Goals

- Analyze needs of human resources, material and space of restoration establishments to offer specialized wine services. - Analyze the different types of customers and more effective wines sales, and the procedures to interpret and solve information needs, claims and complaints. - Advise on pairing of wines and dishes, relating ingredients and cooking techniques with different types of wines. - Perform specialized wine service processes, using the most appropriate techniques for each type and service standards. - Keep in good condition the tools and belongings of the wine service so that its useful life is extended. - Develop simple service processes in the room in order to attend it, if necessary.

Professional exits

It develops its activity in large, medium and small restoration companies usually of the private sector and under the dependence of a hierarchical superior. You can also develop your professional activity in the field of wines and other drinks, either in direct sale, distribution or advice.

To prepare you

This formation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1110_3 Specialized Wine Service, certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls Autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of hospitality and tourism, more specifically in the summer within the professional restoration area, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to the specialized wine service.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
