UF2690 course dog training guide and link with people with visual disabilities

In the field of sociocultural and community services, it is necessary to know the different fields of the instruction of assistance dogs, within the professional area of the consumer service. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to train and link guide dogs for people with visual disabilities.

- Apply training techniques to dog guide for assistance to people with visual disabilities, in a controlled work environment, guide skills and taking into account hazard prevention, risk identification and animal welfare - Confirm in real environments the consolidated behavior in controlled environments, to meet the objectives set in the work program, taking into account the prevention of hazards, the identification of risk and animal welfare. - Perform and evaluate a program of linking the person with visual disabilities and guide dog taking into account the prevention of hazards, the identification of risks and animal welfare.

It develops its professional activity both on its own and of others, within the scope of the entities related to the training of assistance dogs. Its activity, generally, performs autonomously under the supervision of a superior person. In the development of professional activity, universal accessibility principles are applied in accordance with current legislation.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the Formative Unit UF2690 Dog training guides and linking with people with visual disabilities, belonging to the MF2017_3 training module Formal, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of sociocultural services and the community, specifically in instruction of assistance dogs, within the professional area of the consumer service, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge necessary to train and link guide dogs for people with visual disabilities.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
