Summary

The course in nursing procedures and care to the critical patient emerges as an essential opportunity for those who seek to specialize in the integral care of patients in critical situations. In this course you will find the specific care and procedures necessary to provide high quality care for patients in critical condition. You will acquire solid knowledge about daily care, mechanical ventilation, respiratory physiotherapy techniques, UPP prevention, artificial nutrition, UCI pharmacology and management of central venous catheters. With this training you will have at your disposal with a highly qualified and experienced teaching team in this area of action.

Goals

- Understand the essential general care for the critical patient and its importance in recovery. - Acquire skills in the management of patients with mechanical ventilation, including safe withdrawal. - Dominate respiratory physiotherapy techniques to improve lung functions and prevent complications. - Perform precise evaluations to prevent pressure ulcers and chronic wounds. - Apply knowledge about nutrition, both enteral and parenteral. - Learn about the specific pharmacology of the ICU and its safe administration. - Develop nursing care skills in central venous catheters.

This course is aimed exclusively at diplomas or graduates in nursing according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.
