Summary

Thanks to this Archive Auxiliary and Libraries course you can obtain a complete training in information management and treatment, both in the archival and librarian. Through various didactic units, students will learn about the organization of archives, management methods, document classification, computer documentary management, library user attention, elaboration of informative materials and user training. Once the course is finished, students will have developed the necessary skills to work in libraries, archives, documentation centers and other cultural environments, offering a quality service and effective guidance.

Goals

- Acquire knowledge in the organization of archives, classification of documents and vital cycle of information. - Master the different methods of management and classification systems, both traditional and computer. - Learn information search and recovery techniques through bibliographic tools and ICT. - Know the regulations and ethics related to the processing of data and information in archives and libraries. - Develop skills for the elaboration of professional documents and informative materials in libraries. - Obtain competencies in the user service of the library, using different communication channels.
