Archeology acquires its importance because it is the science that studies the physical changes that occur in different societies to the current ones, through the different remains distributed in space and preserved over time, allowing to know the characteristics of the previous societies. With the master in archeology and paleontology it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to know the science of archeology and the work method when a site is detected and archaeological research is carried out. We must also know that paleontology is responsible for the study of the evolution of different animal and plant species over time, since the creation of planet Earth is dated. To do this, it is divided into several eons and eras, so that each one is characterized by specific species and a different lifestyle with each other. Therefore, the present Master in Archeology and Paleontology intends to provide information on that chronostratigraphic division, associated with the dating of the fossil remains found so far. In addition, it also provides information on the paleontological research process and how to recognize whether a fossil specimen is authentic or, on the contrary, it is a falsification.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
