MF2224_3 course: engraving projects and stamping techniques

In the field of artistic graphic activities and techniques, it is necessary to know the different fields of engraving and stamping techniques, within the professional area Graphic Arts. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to define engraving projects and stamping techniques.

- Assess original graphic work projects, applying historical, artistic and functional criteria. - Define the formal, aesthetic and conceptual aspects in graphic work editions based on the standards of composition, balance and fidelity to specific plastic language - Determine the techniques and materials to be used in processes of obtaining matrices and their edition, according to formal, aesthetic and conceptual values scheduled in an original graphics project - detect the need to intervention of different professionals in the development of the processes of creation of matrices and/or editions determining the degree of involvement and its viability in the global development of original graphic work projects. - Assess conservation, recovery and duplication of matrices, applying historical, artistic and functional criteria. - Analyze the state of conservation of matrices, proposing recovery actions and possible duplication, according to the purpose and functionality of their subsequent use, applying historical, artistic and functional criteria - Define the formal, aesthetic and conceptual aspects in conservation, recovery and duplication of matrices - Analyze the physical state of the graphic work stamp, valuing the needs of conservation, recovery or duplication applying defined preservation criteria. - Economically assess original and/or conservation work projects, recovery or duplication of matrices, analyzing all aspects involved in their entire development, based on defined technical and aesthetic characteristics - Apply file systems and conservation of documents generated in the different phases of the development of an engraving project and stamping techniques, which facilitate accessibility in their query

He develops his professional activity in original graphic work workshops, generally on his own, as an independent professional, in cooperatives or other association formulas and also on behalf of others. He always works as a team or in collaboration with other professionals related to the original graphic work. You can perform your activity in public or private institutions, in the departments dedicated to original graphic work. In art galleries specialized in original graphic work. In conservation and restoration departments of a graphic document, collaborating with the conservative and restorer.

This formation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF2224_3 training projects and stamping techniques, certifying having overcome the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls Publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the world professionals of artistic activities and techniques, specifically in engraving and stamping techniques, within the professional area Graphic Arts, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge necessary to define engraving projects and stamping techniques.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
