Positive education course (university degree with 5 ECTS credits)

Educating in positive or also known as positive discipline, is an educational current whose objective lies in moving away from punishment and promoting respect and understanding between adults and minors. This current discipline can be taken both in the family environment and in the education sector by teachers. It is sought, that the little ones, learn to be responsible, friendly, assertive, cooperate and be disciplined, without having to lose their freedom and their own identity. With the positive education course you will learn the basis of child development, existing parenting styles and types of attachment, to know what positive parentality consists of and have the basis to detect possible behavioral problems in minors due to affective disorders.

- Deepen the Integral Child Development and each of its dimensions. - Know the main theories of emotions and the characteristics of these in the children's stage. - Be aware of the importance of the family in the emotional development of children. - Know how to recognize the various pending styles and types of attachment. - Assimilate what positive parentality consists of and how to carry it out. - Identify the main behavioral problems in the little ones derived from affectivity disorders.

When you finish this positive education course you will have acquired a series of knowledge about child development and how family and types of parenting and attachment influence the emotions and education of children. This knowledge can be taken to both personal field and the professional filling the classrooms of assertive education.

With this positive education course you will be prepared to develop the strategies of this current and innovative educational discipline, whose main objective is to propose alternative solutions to punishment based on mutual respect between the little ones and adults. You will understand what is the importance of the family in child development and what are the types of parenting and attachment that influence it.

This positive education course is aimed at both relatives who want to educate in respect and assertiveness, and not in punishment, to make children more responsible and assertive, and educators who wish to bring to the classroom strategies and competences to develop a positive discipline.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
