Summary

Social networks have led to a new concept of knowledge and knowledge management, in addition to a new concept of public relations in education that more professionals come every day, and whose results are surprising. This online course in social networks and knowledge management will provide the student with the necessary knowledge to be able to apply the most recent existing methods in relation to education and knowledge management making use of various Web 2.0 tools and social media. In this context, web 2.0 has meant a radical turn in the relationship of users with the information, giving the possibility of establishing bidirectional channels where we can all be at the same time receptors and emitters. Library 2.0 can be constituted as a joint management service of great didactic value. We consider it important, then, that the teacher is prepared to make use of these new resources and their implementation in the classrooms.

- Learn to use the different applications arising from web 2.0. - Learn to register in the different social networks and know the characteristics of each of them. - Describe the bases of the architecture of participation in web 2.0. - Know the main advantages and disadvantages of the use of social networks. - Train teachers to organize and energize classroom libraries and the center library. - Promote the realization of readers and plans for the use of school libraries. - Incorporate the regular use of the School Library as a resource for learning and improvement of school returns. - Identify the most common services offered by digital libraries. - Understand the functioning of collaborative communities that are formed through the use of social software. - Evaluate software 2.0 tools. - Analyze the strong impact that information and communications technologies (ICT) exercise in the current educational world.

The online course in social networks and knowledge management is aimed at people who want to expand their knowledge about social networks, web 2.0 and the applications and uses that it provides us with knowledge management.
