Traumatological nursing course (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

Traumatology is the branch of medicine in charge of studying and solving the injuries of the locomotor apparatus, covering both traumatic and congenital injuries. Thus, the traumatology allows to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and prevent diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. With this course in traumatological nursing you can acquire the professional competences necessary to deepen the foundations of traumatology, the detection of pathologies, their existing treatment and explorations for each anatomical location. Thanks to this course you will adopt the necessary knowledge to achieve specialized training in traumatology.

- Analyze the basic anatomy of the human body. - Know the main pathologies that occur in upper and lower extremities. - Identify the pathologies that occur in the spine and thorax. - Acquire the therapeutic bases in traumatology and exploration. - Recognize the main diagnostic tests according to anatomical location.

Once the knowledge is acquired during this course in traumatological nursing, you can develop your professional activity in the field of health, both in the public and private sphere, in sanitary specialties related to traumatology such as emergency services, extrahospital care, external consultations and rehabilitation centers.

With the traumatological nursing course you will be prepared to attend, care and stabilize patients with traumatic injuries. You will learn to the foundations of traumatology, covering basic anatomy, types of fractures, identify alarm signals and perform explorations. With this training you can perform in various areas of medical care, contributing to the recovery and well -being of the patient.

This course is aimed exclusively at diplomas or graduates in nursing according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
