Upper course in ASD, specialization in diagnosis and treatment of autistic spectrum disorder

The diagnosis of autism cases has gone in progression during the last decades, until reaching social alarm levels. What is the cause of autism? Many answers, but no accurate, beyond knowing a multifactorial etiology, the origin of this disorder is not known exactly. The treatment or intervention of this disorder involves a real challenge, and to face it, it is required of the best training, in addition to the skills that make possible an effective intervention that allows the best development of the minor. The study of the main techniques and autism intervention tools make it possible to achieve favorable results that will have a very positive way to the child.

- Know the historical background and the evolutionary process of autism, as well as the myths and realities that are around it. -Establish what are the main characteristics of autistic spectrum disorder, its diagnostic criteria according to DSM-V and CIE-10, and what factors influence it. - Study what are the neurobiological bases of the disorder and assess the importance of its early detection, learning to identify differences and similarities in child development. - Learn the main procedures in the intervention and treatment of autistic spectrum disorder, both at the psychoeducational and pharmacological level. - Review the main studies carried out on intervention in ASD.

Upper Course in ASD: Specialization in Diagnosis and Treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorder in all types of centers dedicated to childhood care, which belong to the private sector mainly. See Cabinets of psychopedagogical care or non -profit associations, among others. Basic complement to a previous university training in order to work autonomously.

This course aims to provide the student with adequate training in autistic spectrum disorder, knowing what their characteristics are, what are the main explanatory theories of the origin and development of the disorder, as well as what are the main techniques or intervention tools.

Aimed at university degrees in the branch of social sciences and education, such as psychologists, pedagogues or psychopedagogues, interested in expanding their knowledge in autistic spectrum disorder and specializing in its clinical intervention.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
