Early Care Course Occupational Therapy: Technician in Early Attention for Titled In Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a health discipline whose basic principle is the maintenance and/or recovery of personal autonomy, I understand this as the ability of individuals to live for themselves and without depending on the constant help of others. So with this present course of Technician in Early Care for Titled In Occupational Therapy (Double Degree + 5 ECTS Credits) it is intended that the student acquire the necessary and sufficient knowledge to do the work of recovery of people in an effective way to help them be autonomous and maintain their own basic personal care, their productive work, their hobbies and social life. On the other hand, early care implies preventing, detecting and intervening in problem situations in child development in an attempt to ensure the physical, psychological and social well -being of the boy and the girl with disabilities, disorders or at risk of suffering from them. The present Technical Course in Early Care for Titled In Occupational Therapy (Double Degree + 5 ECTS Credits) intends to provide teachers with the necessary knowledge and tools for the design and development of preventive, optimizing and compensatory actions that facilitate the proper maturation of the children in all evolutionary areas.

- Be aware that everyone at some point in our lives depends on others. - Expand knowledge within the field of occupational therapists. - Improve, maintain or restore the highest level of functional independence and personal autonomy, considering three fundamental axes of human activity: the individual itself, the activity and the environment, in its different dimensions. - Improve the quality of life of an individual using an occupation, with a holistic approach. - Know the scope, the target population and the main theoretical models in early care. - Learn the basic patterns of diagnosis and intervention in children with evolutionary disorders from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective. - Detail the early signs of the various disorders and difficulties in the development to make possible early detection and more effective intervention.
