Gender construction course for health personnel (university degree + 4 ECTS credits)

Gender, understanding this as the set of socially established ideas, norms and roles that determine the behavior of women and men, has come to biologize in such a way that its meaning is created work of nature and not of human creativity. Gender determines the role of femininity and masculinity, around which gender stereotypes are configured. With the course in social construction for health personnel you can know sex - gender theory, how gender stereotypes and the importance of making micromachisms are configured. In addition, you can know strategies to implement a gender perspective and some positive strategies to achieve full equality.

With the course in social construction of gender for health personnel you can integrate into multidisciplinary teams in the field of health that intend to incorporate the gender perspective into their daily work, trying to eliminate situations of inequality between women and men while contributing to build more just, egalitarian and sustainable societies.

With the course in social construction of gender for health personnel you can acquire all the necessary knowledge to know how gender and the mechanisms that have an impact on the maintenance of stereotypes that determine the behavior and attitudes of women and men are built. You can also study different strategies to eliminate situations of inequality and move towards more egalitarian societies.
