Summary

Since psychology has opted to define human development under a global and integrative perspective, highlighting not only purely physical aspects, but also psychological, cognitive and socio -affective. On the other hand, adolescence is characterized by being a period of development in which various and very significant changes are produced for the person, which translate into alterations and important modification in personality and the difficulty of establishing adaptive relationships with their environment, especially with adults. The objective of the postgraduate degree in psychology in childhood and adolescence (triple degree + 10 ECTS credits) aims to publicize the main characteristics of these vital periods and the social and psychological impact that it has on the subject, offers extensive knowledge about psychological, physical and social changes and how they influence the behavior, learning, socialization ... of the child.

Goals

- Determine the characteristics of the adolescence period. - Know the cognitive, social, emotional and physical changes, which characterize this period. - Know the most frequent psychopathological disorders during adolescence. - Describe the evidence used for the diagnosis of adolescence disorders. - Delimit the problem of addictions. - Deepen the problems of violence and crime in minors. - Delimit the concept of development from a global approach that integrates the physical, cognitive, psychological and affective aspects of the human being. - Develop the itinerary of the child's evolutionary course emphasizing the main milestones of its development from the prenatal stage to nine years of age. - Know the main manifestations of child psychopathology and the methods of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment that are used from psychology to address them. - Analyze the concept of psychoeducational intervention and know its main functions and objectives.
