Expert Course in Local Police Intervention with foreign and European citizens + Intercultural Mediation (Double degree with 5 ECTS credits)

The Local Police is called to intervene in the immigration phenomenon. The increase in the number of foreigners residing in our territory and the progressive assumption of competences by local immigration agencies make the local police be configured as one of the forms of representation of the public administration closest to citizens and the foreign population. This course arises with the objective of satisfying the current training demands, offering the bases of the specialized intervention with foreign and European citizens, exposing the regulatory framework of reference, in addition to offering basic training in intercultural mediation.

- Strengthen the promotion actions for equality and human rights, as well as their importance in the multicultural current society. - Make an approach to the social reality of the immigrant in order to understand the social context in which it is found. - Detail the general framework for the regulation of the right of foreigners and immigration. - Know the duties and rights of foreigners according to Spanish legislation, as well as community legislation and human rights. - Explore the content of current legislation in the field of foreigners to carry out the different procedures. - Make an approach to the reality of cultural diversity. - Describe the key concepts involved in mediation processes. - Present reality the conflict and its resolution in the school environment for cultural reasons. - Describe the reality of intercultural mediation in the school environment and its procedural nature. - Present the figure of the mediator and its competences.

This training course is aimed at all those people, professionals or not, who are working or collaborating in social entities closely related to immigration in our country, as well as all those who aspire to be part of the State's bodies and security forces, especially the local police.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
