Librarian course

The ways in which collections and library funds can be organized are very varied. The management of library funds constitutes the basis of the documentation process, so that this librarian course is aimed at students acquiring professional skills to operate with the reception of funds and apply the techniques of organizing collections in the storage devices of a library following the established management systems.

- Recognize and classify bibliographic funds according to the established criteria. - Properly manage the process of receiving bibliographic funds taking into account their typology, checking their physical status and studying possible claims. - Properly use the different identification and safety devices of bibliographic funds. - Properly complete the identification and catalog data of the bibliographic funds. - Sort and properly place the different funds within the collection of a library, properly checking the specimens ordering sequences.

It develops its professional activity both on their own and own, in the field of small, medium and large private companies, as well as, in public administrations and/or entities related to the scientific -technological, sociocultural and educational field. His activity performs under the supervision of a superior and/or hierarchical technician.

This librarian course prepares to recognize and classify bibliographic funds according to the established criteria, properly manage the process of receiving bibliographic funds taking into account their typology, checking their physical state and studying possible claims and properly use the different identification and safety devices of bibliographic funds.

The present course of the librarian course is aimed at all those who are dedicated to the world of librarian, document management or research, teachers, teachers, pedagogues and to all those professionals who are interested in receiving a useful training to organize and apply techniques of documentary organization and documentary management necessary for the performance of their profession.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
