- Acquire transversal knowledge in BIM methodology applied to any civil engineering project, both in the design and construction phases. - Acquire specific knowledge in BIM tools and software, both linear and specific works. As well as the interoperability between these tools. - Know and apply the processes involved in the correct adoption of BIM. - Know and analyze the existing regulations, degree of implementation, as well as bidding processes. - Training based on practical exercises, we are aware that the student feels the knowledge to a greater extent when he has to apply it directly in a project or exercise.
BIM implementation implies the emergence of new competencies and responsibilities associated with different functions. This set of competencies and responsibilities associated with BIM is commonly known as roles, or BIM roles. Within the BIM roles and as professional opportunities for this master's degree, a series of BIM roles are listed. These roles do not depend solely on the knowledge that together with the experience of the: - BIM Manager - BIM Coordinator - Senior BIM Specialist - BIM Modeler - Construction Auditor or Inspector
This program is focused on responding to current market needs by covering the 3 main legs of BIM adoption: people, processes and technology. In engineering, BIM tools and processes make it easy to create accurate 3D models of a project. Which helps civil engineers identify possible problems and impacts earlier in the process.
