Summary

Students are considered with specific need for educational support, who, for presenting special educational needs, due to specific learning difficulties, for their high intellectual abilities, for having incorporated late into the educational system, or by personal or school history conditions, requires educational attention different from the ordinary one so that it can achieve the maximum possible development of their personal abilities and, in any case, the objectives established in general for all students. This course offers the necessary knowledge to detect educational needs in students in order to plan and program an effective intervention that allows students to develop their necessary educational abilities and competences.

Goals

- Define the concept of disability and students with specific educational support needs (NEAE). - Describe the groups of students who have specific educational support needs: special educational needs, high capacities and late integration in the educational system. - Develop the principles and characteristics of attention to diversity in the educational system. - Know the process of detecting educational needs in students. - Plan the psychopedagogical intervention. - Describe the tools and coordination of the teaching team in the psychopedagogical intervention.

Prepare students to learn about the characteristics of students with specific educational support needs, detecting what type of learning needs and problems they present in such a way that they can plan and develop adequate psychoeducational intervention programs, to allow these students with special educational needs, achieve the minimum teachings arranged by law, so that they can achieve the educational objectives and be able to be integrated into the ordinary classroom.

The present course of detection and intervention in students with specific educational support needs, is aimed at all those teachers of Infant Education, Primary Education, secondary education teachers, psychologists, pedagogues, psychopedagogues, etc. And, in general, any university degree interested in performing their professional work in the teaching field. Similarly, it is aimed at anyone interested in training or expanding their knowledge about this subject.

Official Character

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
