Mathematics Didactics Course in Compulsory Secondary Education + University Didactics Degree in Mathematics with 5 ECTS credits

Mathematics didactics is a scientific-pedagogical discipline that aims to study the processes and elements present in the teaching and learning of mathematics. In general, people who develop their professional life around the teaching of mathematics are experts in this science, but, on many occasions, it becomes as interesting as necessary to know how to transmit that knowledge. With this course, students will be provided with the didactic and methodological techniques necessary to develop the teaching-learning process in the secondary education stage in the most appropriate way.

- Recognize the basic competences and the areas and subjects of the Primary and Secondary Education curriculum, according to the LOE. - Know the concept of Didactics of Mathematics, as well as its application. - Analyze different types of theories regarding teaching in mathematics. - Understand the didactic contents that must be contributed to students in the different stages. - Bring students closer to the issues raised in response to diversity. - Learn the skills of a mandatory secondary education teacher. - Enter how the numbering, calculation, algebra, functions, probability, statistics and counting techniques should be taught. - Learn mathematical competition, problem solving, contexts and resources.

The present course of Didactics of Mathematics in Compulsory Secondary Education is aimed at all those people whose professional work takes place around the field of teaching and to all those people who are interested in learning how to teach mathematics to students of secondary education.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
