- Define the concept of independent life and how it relates to disability, dependence and personal autonomy. - Establish independent life as part of human rights, as well as their relationship with equal opportunities, universal accessibility and dignification of people in dependency. - Identify the legal aspects, both national and autonomous, that regulate the situation of people with disabilities and/or in dependence. - Establish a general framework for the resources and services that are currently available for the attention to autonomy and dependence from the system for autonomy and attention to dependency (SAAD), regulated by Law 39/2006, of December 14, on the promotion of personal autonomy and attention to people in dependency. - Highlight the importance of personal assistance as a necessary service for people in a situation of dependency, attending to the associated functions, tasks and requirements, and differentiating the profile of the personal assistant of other professional categories. - Analyze the professional relationship and confidentiality that are collected from personal assistance between the person who exercises as a personal assistant and the user of this. - Establish the main skills and competencies related to personal assistance, as well as attend to the modalities of access to this service today. - Identify the basic first aid guidelines that people who work as personal assistants should know, as well as attend to specific cases of dependency people due to their characteristics.

The professional outputs of this course in personal assistance to people in dependency are those of personal assistant, professionals of the third sector, both by public and private, and personnel assigned to the system for autonomy and help to dependence (SAAD), especially organizations that work with people with disabilities/functional diversity.

With this course in personal assistance to people in a situation of dependency you will have the possibility of learning the main functions and characteristics of the personal assistant as a work figure responsible for providing self -determination and independence to a person in a situation of dependence and/or with disabilities/functional diversity, as well as to know how to act in case of applying first aid with the users of the service.

This course in personal assistance to people in dependency can be aimed at working personnel with people in dependency and/or with disabilities/functional diversity who wish to act as a personal assistant, as well as is aimed at third sector professionals with interest in this work figure so necessary today.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
