UF0926 Course Design and Organization of the Warehouse

The warehouse concept has been varying over the years, expanding its scope of responsibility within the logistics function. Warehouse management is on the logistics process map between management and stocks and the request management and distribution process. This course will provide the student with the knowledge and competencies necessary for the correct organization and control of the operations and flows of goods in the warehouse in accordance with the established procedures and current regulations, ensuring the quality and optimization of the store of warehouses and/or logistics chain.

- Analyze methods and techniques of optimization of space and times in the organization of warehouses, complying with current regulations. - Determine the appropriate equipment and facilities to different types of stores and goods. - Prepare equipment maintenance plans in facilities of different types of warehouses, according to the manufacturer's regulations and recommendations. - Develop expenses budgets and warehouse service cost using computer applications and spreadsheets. - Develop quality systems for continuous improvement of the storage service - Calculate indicators and time standards for improving the quality of the warehouse service and the optimization of time and human and technical resources.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the Formative Unit UF0926 Design and organization of the warehouse, certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls Autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

All those people who develop their professional work organizing and managing the storage or storage service in companies of any sector and wish to update their knowledge regarding the level and validity of the warehouse management within the logistics chain. Any person interested in being in account of the organization and control of the operations and flows of goods in the warehouse in accordance with the established procedures and current regulations, ensuring the quality and optimization of the store of stores and/or logistics chain.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
