The conception of special education has suffered a huge transformation both educationally and socially speaking, going from absolute rejection in ancient times, acceptance and integration in our day. Nowadays, the educator's work in integral attention to childhood is essential, because through day -to -day teaching transforms, mold and forms children's personalities. The importance of caring and training the child lies in its good development in its cognitive, social, psychological, physical, affective and ethical aspect. The education that a person receives in their first years of life will be crucial to mark their future, especially if we talk about children with specific educational support needs. Both teachers, pedagogues, educators, psychologists, as the family have the commitment to care for, educate, form, understand and guarantee the education and fulfillment of the dimensions of the human being in children who are in their hands. Seeking special attention to those students who have specific educational support needs.

- Study the historical evolution of special education and the emergence of inclusive education and its importance in comprehensive childhood care. - Differentiate the specific educational support needs (NEAE), to be aware of the possible teaching-learning difficulties that we can find in the different educational centers. - Identify and value the specific educational support needs (NEAE), to later give an adequate educational response to the characteristics and needs of each student. - Use the necessary tools to intervene in the specific educational support needs: both material resources and personal resources, where the role of orientation is essential. - Establish which is the best organization of the school and the best modality of schooling to serve students with specific educational support needs.

This course aims to provide the student with technical training in the field of comprehensive childhood care, providing basic knowledge about special education and intervention for students with specific educational support needs. The student will learn the basic foundations on special education and the specific needs of educational support, and will be able to apply such notions in the care of students with needs.

Aimed at university degrees in the branch of social sciences, interested in directing their professional career towards the development of one of the most future professions: social intervention and orientation, specializing in the field of educational intervention. In general, all those interested in training in the field of pedagogy, psychopedagogy, educational orientation and special education.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
