Professional Technical Course in Sociocomunity Intervention in Gender Equality (Double Degree with 5 ECTS credits)

Men and women are not equal, in fact, all people, regardless of our sex, are different and unique. The truth is that we all have the same rights and we must enjoy the same opportunities in the different aspects of life: education, work, leisure, etc. Equality between men and women is a universal principle and thus is reflected in legal texts, but real and tangible equality must still be worked and established in many areas of social and personal life. This change of ideas and ways of acting demands an action from the field of education that should not go unnoticed between teachers.

- Provide students with the knowledge, competences and skills necessary for the design and development of gender equality training programs. - Contextualize equality in the national regulatory framework, highlighting the social measures adopted in relation to gender equality and opportunities in all social spheres in general and concrete guidelines in the management and organization of human groups in particular. - Know the history of social work as a professional discipline - Identify the dominant currents in the construction of social work as a discipline. - Be aware of the importance of the work of the social worker in their multiple fields of intervention. - Be aware of the functions performed by the social worker in their different areas of action. - Know the main concepts linked to the field of equal opportunities. - Analyze the different types of measures, legislation, programs, initiatives and agencies that respond to equal opportunities in our country. - Identify gender violence as the main public health problem worldwide.

For anyone who wishes to train in this subject by expanding their knowledge, agents who work in social programs for this purpose, students who wish to project their work career to work as agents of equal opportunities both in the social sphere, in education, training, employment and, in general, in all forms of citizen participation.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
