Master of Permanent Training in Advanced BIM in Modeling of Causes and Hydraulic Infrastructure + 60 ECTS credits

We are currently immersed in a process of technological innovation in the professional activity of roads, channels and ports, civil engineers, industrial engineers and other engineering professionals involved in the development of civil infrastructure projects, infrastructure that cover from transport infrastructure, hydraulic infrastructure to port infrastructure. This new project development and works management technology, as they already know, receives digital construction terminology (VDC) with virtual modeling (BIM methodology). The reality, therefore, is that any professional has the need to update to increase their competitiveness, first understanding this work methodology to later carry out projects and work management in the field of civil engineering in which it is currently an expert for its specialty, knowledge and experience using current technologies (CAD, spreadsheets, budget programs, planning programs). On the other hand, the approval in Spain of the BIM Methodology Regulations (UNE-EN ISO 19650 Standard, of July 2019) as well as the constitution of the Interministerial Commission for the incorporation of said methodology in the public procurement of the Ministry of Development, in December 2018, implies the adoption of the BIM methodology in public contracts affecting the work to be developed both by the engineering consulting companies, Being the professional profile of Bim Manager, BIM coordinator and BIM specialist of discipline currently demanded in public tenders, and therefore necessary in the jobs of both types of companies.

The main objective is for students to acquire the necessary knowledge to face any project of the hydraulic infrastructure reviewed. - Specialization training in the integration of the BIM methodology in all phases of a work project and management in hydraulic engineering infrastructure. - Acquire the knowledge of the most advanced BIM software applied to hydraulic infrastructure with GIS, Civil 3D and Revit, to achieve a professional training of advanced user. - Know the workflows of interoperability between the different BIM tools, in a collaborative work environment following the BIM methodology, under the standards of the EN -UE 19650 standard on modeling project construction information (PIM) and work (AIM). - The teaching of all modules of the Master are based on the acquisition of knowledge of digital construction design and construction information management in the works, through the development of real projects with BIM technology. - Teachers (road engineers, civil engineers and architects) with extensive professional experience in projects and civil works management, and high specialization in the application of the BIM methodology.

Some of the professional activities where the knowledge of this master can be applied are hydraulic modeling specialists, infrastructure designers with this technology, water resources consultants and flood risk analysts.

Students will face real practical cases of proposed, developed and solved projects step by step by our teachers who are professionals in the engineering sector of roads, channels and ports, civil engineering and other construction sectors, with broad and demonstrated real experience in project and management of large civil infrastructure

The Advanced BIM Master in Hydrology and Hydraulic Infrastructure is created so that, the professional or engineering student, reaching high specialization knowledge in all phases of hydrological and hydraulic studies of the hydraulic infrastructure project with GIS and BIM technology. This master qualifies professionals and students of engineering schools to do it for the profiles described.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
