- Analyze the behavior and physical characteristics of the dog, by observing its attitude towards physical contact, environmental stimulation, and interaction with it, for its selection and/or detection of characterological anomalies. - Modify the dog's behavior, so that it performs basic impulse control, obedience and overcoming obstacles exercises, through the application of a predetermined work program. - Apply the safety criteria for third parties and self-protection during the handling and training of dogs, as well as respect the regulations that concern animal welfare and protection.
He carries out his professional activity both on his own and as an employee, in the field of small, medium and large private companies, residences, adoption centers for abandoned animals, veterinary clinics, private homes, as well as in public administrations and/or entities, related to the breeding, training, sale, care and sporting and recreational activities of dogs. Its activity, in general, is carried out autonomously, although it may depend, circumstantially, on a hierarchical superior.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2735 Identification of relevant behaviors and aptitudes in the dog and application of basic learning principles to modify its behavior for training purposes, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls that are published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
