- Know behavior modification and its principles. - Acquire the characteristics of behavioral evaluation. - Reinforce, shape and chain behaviors. - Prepare a contingency contract. - Application of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. - Know the essential aspects of human behavior and learning behaviors. - Learn the differences between some procedures and others for modifying children's behavior. - Detail the basic aspects of the techniques used for the development, maintenance and elimination of behaviors. - Introduce techniques such as modeling and systematic desensitization. - Know how to carry out training in assertiveness and social skills and in problem solving in children's settings. - Know the theoretical bases and practical applications of cognitive behavioral psychology. - Describe the principle that supports the cognitive behavioral theory for the treatment of psychological disorders. - Define the cognitive behavioral techniques used in psychotherapy. - Acquire the necessary skills to carry out cognitive behavioral therapy. - Explain in depth addictive substances and their effects, with the aim of developing preventive measures. - Know the basic concepts related to drug dependence, addiction and drug addiction, as well as the risk and protective factors that surround it, learning to neutralize some and enhance others. - Analyze alcohol as an addictive substance, as well as other types of addictive substances and their effects on the body. - The student will identify the behaviors and risk factors for Intervention in Pathological Gambling - Delve into the theoretical framework of Gambling and the influence on behavior with the contributions of recent studies - Analyze the predisposing factors to Pathological Gambling from a comprehensive perspective. - Analyze the pathological processes of gambling according to the framework of Addiction Psychology - Provide effective tools for adequate evaluation and diagnosis - Delve into the different updated proposals for the psychological treatment of this addiction - Define prevention strategies, both in situations of risk of addiction and relapse. - Create in students a positive attitude towards these patients and their problems. - Know the factors that can facilitate the completion of suicide. - Learn the cognitive and affective functioning of the suicidal person. - Know the main methods of evaluating suicidal behavior. - Know the stages in cognitive therapy with suicidal patients. - Learn the forms of presentation (direct and indirect) of suicidal behavior in minors. - Know eating disorders or eating psychopathology. - Learn the physiology and neurobiology of the regulation of eating behavior. - Be able to relate mental disorders and disturbed eating. - Learn the concept of obesity, the psychosocial aspects and its treatment. - Learn the concept of anorexia nervosa, the clinical aspects and its diagnosis and treatment. - Learn the concept of bulimia nervosa, the clinical aspects and its diagnosis and treatment. - Identify other eating disorders. - Carry out a clinical evaluation and diagnostic criteria for eating disorders. - Carry out interdisciplinary treatment in each of the eating disorders
