The Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA), founded in 1940, is a private university institution of Catholic inspiration, with campus in Salamanca and Madrid. Its origin dates back to the desire to recover ecclesiastical studies after the suppression of the University of Salamanca during the nineteenth century.
