MF0015-2 Course and Processing of Fish and Seafood

In the maritime fishing field, it is necessary to know the different fields of manipulation and conservation in fishing and aquaculture, within the professional area of fishing and navigation. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to manipulate and process fishing and aquaculture products.

- Describe the hygiene and health methods that must be observed in people, equipment, materials and facilities, to guarantee the health quality of the product, during their reception and manipulation. - Explain the current regulations regarding the requirements and hygienic norms applicable to manipulators, equipment and materials during the processing of fishing products, so that their preservation is ensured. - Perform the conditioning of the raw material on board or in other facilities, so that its deterioration is minimized and its subsequent manipulation is facilitated. - Describe the different ways of receiving the product, taking into account the form of extraction, species, or particularities of the means of transport, in order to avoid damage that may harm their subsequent manipulation. - Describe the washing and/or eviscerated operations of the product, so that once the harmful parties of it can be eliminated, it can be classified following the established regulations. - Describe the manipulation and elaboration operations to be carried out in the product, taking into account its characteristics and environmental factors, so that the desired presentation is achieved, complying with the quality regulations and respecting the hygienic-sanitary conditions.

He develops his professional activity as a worker on behalf of others, in public or private companies, large, medium or small, dedicated to the extraction, conservation, transformation, storage and/or commercialization of fishing and aquaculture products (ships, markets, refrigerator warehouses, aquaculture plants, frozen industries, jets ...), being able to exercise their work both on board and on the ground.

This formation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF0015_2 formative module. They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the maritime and fishing world, specifically in manipulation and conservation in fishing and aquaculture within the maritime and fishing professional area, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge to manipulate and process fishing and aquaculture products.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
