MF0224-3 Administration of Database Management Systems

At present, in the world of computer science and communications and within the professional area of systems and telematics, more specifically in the database administration, it is very important to know the different processes for which they are carried out. Therefore, with this course it is about providing the necessary knowledge to know the storage of information and introduction to SGBD, its installation and the administration and monitoring of the SGBD.

- In initially install and parameterize the Database Management System (SGBD) for its implementation, according to the technical specifications and the characteristics of the subsequent exploitation. - Plan and perform administrative tasks of the database manager system to allow its optimal exploitation and according to the established procedures. - Monitor the indicators of the Database Management System to evaluate the system status and the degree of compliance with the performance criteria, making the necessary adjustments for optimization. - Advise on the acquisition and update of the logical and physical systems associated with the database management system that provide improvements in system benefits.

It develops its professional activity in the following areas: medium and large companies or entities, dedicated to any productive sector, which have information systems for the management of their business processes, small companies, with the possibility of exercising as autonomous professional and companies that manage information systems for other organizations.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF0224_3 Administration of Database Management Systems, certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at all those who develop their professional activity in the world of computer science and communications, within the professional area of systems and telematics, and more specifically in the database administration, and in general, anyone who wishes to expand and/or update their knowledge in the storage of information and introduction to SGBD, its installation and the administration and monitoring of the SGBD.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
