Course in dietary and nutrition (university degree+ 30 ECTS credits)

The role that the correct food occupies in our life is increasingly important. Currently eating healthy and balanced is synonymous with health. This course will provide the student with an approach to the basis of dietary and nutrition applied to the different stages of life to ensure balanced nutrition, from a knowledge of the nutritional aspects of the different food groups.

- Raise awareness about the preventive nature that optimal nutrition has on health. - Reasonably know the energy and nutritious needs of the organism. - Study the nutritional aspects, sources and recommended intakes of the different nutrients. - Define nutritional needs in the different stages of life, physiological states and in sports. - Offer priority principles to establish the basis of balanced nutrition in the different stages of life and physiological periods, as a preventive measure of associated diseases the problems of poor nutrition. - Present the healthy effects presented by alternative food forms. - Present the importance of nutritional education as a generator of healthy food guidelines. - Offer the necessary knowledge to plan balanced menus in your energy and nutritional contribution for communities.

This course aims to provide a broad vision of the nature of human nutrition, demystifying those conceptions of dietary that consider it as a simple diet. Similarly, necessary and updated knowledge about dietary and nutrition, elaboration of food plans, nutritional education, food at different stages of life, eating disorders.

Aimed at university degrees in the health branch interested in directing their professional career towards the development of one of the most future professions: dietitian and nutritionist. In general, all those interested in training in the field of dietary and nutrition.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
