Professional Technical Course in Marine Pollution

At present, the study of the environment, its protection and the development of research aimed at establishing an environmental balance, is the order of the day, therefore, the primary objective of this course consists in facilitating our students a global vision on the environmental effects that pollution exerts on the marine ecosystem, as well as the necessary tools to identify and evaluate the impacts produced in the sea by the different industrial activities.

- Acquire the basic knowledge about the environmental effects that the different activities that cause pollution have on the different components of the marine ecosystem. - Know the main sources of marine pollution and study in particular the contamination caused by hydrocarbons and urban wastewater. - Know the most common treatments of containment and elimination of oil discharges and the general concepts on urban wastewater treatment and their evacuation to the sea through underwater emissaries.

Personnel of the environmental management departments, both of private and public entities, control and environmental inspection.

The following course, enables students to carry out procedures to evaluate the eminently anthropic impacts that the marine environment receives in the face of the growing social and industrial pressure that our coasts continually suffer.

All those people who are interested in acquiring broad and updated knowledge within the environment research field, and deepening the study of the problem that concerns marine pollution.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
