Summary

In the field of disability, it is necessary to know the different resources of psychoeducational, community and social care of families with children with disabilities. Thus, with this course of specialist in psychoeducational intervention in special education + university degree in comprehensive accompaniment in functional diversity oriented to families is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the attention to families with children with disabilities. Special education focuses on children, youth and adults with specific needs. These include not only disabilities, but also everything that can make the personar's learning difficult and therefore, so they create needs. - Discriminate the characteristics of the families of people with disabilities that should be considered, proposing the way of collecting information about these to assess their needs and determine the support and actions they require. - Analyze processes for the promotion of the personal autonomy of the person with disabilities in their family promoting the full development of their abilities, independence and normalization. - Analyze orientation and support actions to families of people with disabilities in situations of emotional stress or punctual problem derived from this situation, relating them to interdisciplinary team intervention. - Propose and analyze mediation actions to respond to possible needs and difficulties between the person with disabilities and their family, at the communication level. - Identify community resources for families of people with disabilities that improve the quality of life of its members. - Know the evolution of special education throughout history. - Know how special education is functionally organized. - Learn the different modalities of intervention in the early care of students with specific needs. - Intervene psychoeducatively with special education students. - Know the different tools that can be used for intervention in special education.
