Objectives

- Describe the hygiene and sanitation methods that must be observed in people, equipment, materials and facilities, to guarantee the sanitary quality of the product, during its reception and handling. - Explain the current regulations regarding the hygienic-sanitary requirements and standards applicable to handlers, equipment and materials during the processing of fishery products, so as to ensure their preservation. - Carry out the conditioning of the raw material on board or in other facilities, so that its deterioration is minimized and its subsequent handling is facilitated. - Describe the different ways of receiving the product, taking into account the method of extraction, species, or particularities of the means of transport, in order to avoid damage that could impair its subsequent handling.

Career opportunities

He develops his professional activity as an employed worker, in public or private companies, large, medium or small, dedicated to the extraction, conservation, transformation, storage and/or marketing of fishing and aquaculture products (boats, fish markets, cold storage warehouses, aquaculture plants, frozen industries, canning plants...), being able to carry out his work both on board and on land.

What it prepares you for

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2535 Reception of fish and shellfish, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
